Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). My educational background started with my B.S. in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas and was followed by a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M-Central Texas. In the past, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults who came to therapy for mood disorders, personality disorders, parenting skills, suicidal ideation, and other experienced life obstacles.
I believe in therapy being a welcoming and supportive environment. With Person Centered Therapy, you are the expert in your life story. Also knowing for myself, how complex and busy being a multicultural woman can be, it’s a challenge to share the nitty gritty details with others. So, I hope to create a safe space for my clients to be able to build rapport and share their hardships. Not only that, but a place to grow and learn about yourself. In Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we look at the ways negative thought patterns can affect our mood and lifestyle causing anxiety and/or depression. Creating changes takes hard work but it doesn’t have to be a struggle, therapy can be fun. With the use of Solution Focused Therapy and various evidence based methods therapy can be fun, informative, and hard work.
